Public works — prime contractor

Brooklane Apartments Water Services, Phase 2

Basalt’s largest contract to date, delivered as prime contractor for Central Washington University: 130 new HDPE water services with appurtenances, HDPE and C900 mainline extensions, pavement and concrete repair, and final restoration. Executed across an occupied student housing complex, which drove phasing, temporary service continuity, and pedestrian routing. Prevailing wage; Notice of Completion filed May 2026.

Federally assisted public works — subcontractor

Water Street Overlay, Main Street to Bender Road

Subcontractor to the paving prime on a City of Ellensburg federal-aid overlay. Demolition of sidewalk, curb and gutter, and pavement, then subgrade preparation for 145 new ADA-compliant curb ramps — block by block on active streets with pedestrian access maintained. Federal-aid compliance included FHWA 1391 reporting and WSDOT 420-004 documentation.

Data Center Campus — On-Site Sewage Systems

Subcontractor on an OCIP-insured hyperscale data center campus in Malaga. Basalt constructed two complete on-site sewage systems under one contract: the main system serving the data center, and a second system serving the guardhouse at the front entry.

Kittitas Highway Approach Grading, Phase 1

Prime contractor for a new commercial approach off Kittitas Highway, built to WSDOT low-volume commercial approach standards: clearing and grubbing, 120 feet of CMP culvert with spall armor end treatment, embankment import, grading and compaction, and HMA surfacing under an approved traffic control plan on an active county roadway.

WDFW EV Charging Stations — Region 3 HQ and Wenatchee District Office

Two competitively bid state public works contracts delivered as prime at operating WDFW facilities. Both carried the same self-performed civil package: demolition, conduit trench and backfill, equipment pads, ADA improvements, patching, and restoration, with electrical and striping by disclosed subcontractors. Both closed with final completion certified by the agency.
